Had applied for Netdictation on 5th Nov 2011 after seeing their job posts online. There was no response (either email or phone call). On Dec 14 my wife gets a call from an HR called Bhargavi, since I was out, she passed on her contact details. Now tell me do you think someone is going to wait for over a month when there is no update from the company whatsoever?!? I am already tied up on personal as well as professional front. This lady is literally stalking by calling 10-15 times a day. When my wife answered (again I wasn't available) she said something in the line of, "He is not showing commitment, he is not doing a favor, what is your name, where he went..." Do you really want to join a company (as an HBT) to be asked such questions even before getting hired. 12 years in this industry and I know how it works out, there is abundance of jobs but very few organization is good enuff. Otherwise, why would they say "WE WILL SET YR TARGET AS...." Hello!! what does freelancing mean? You set a target, then there is a 10% deduction minus employee benefits, on what ground do they demand so many answers. "Are you working somewhere?" This industry is a dead end street. If you're young GET OUT OF IT. Laziness will creep in slowly that poverty will take over. Investing 30 years and there are people earning 30 K and they think that is what life is about.
ReplyDeleteAs an organization if you do not have the courtesy to even acknowledge by email or a call, how do you expect the other person to do the same. There are some small & big MT organizations, but they have always responded with whatever update, either good or bad. I have come across few sore apples who think they rule everyone and no, they are not doing a favor as well! But this lady from NetDictation tops the bill cos the way she spoke! I believed this industry has very little respect for the MTs, but now I know for real. There are few middle men who get the moolah/big bucks, rest of us we are dancing like monkeys for peanuts.
