Medical transcription Freshers

A bit of caution for the freshers who want to take MT as there career. There have been decline in the amount of work outsourced. Some of the hospitals are not at all outsourcing followup reports as they are doing themselves. Only a less volume of is presenlty outsourced. We think that it will also have impact on Medical Billing and Coding also.

    There is lot of confusion about the future of Medical Transcription. However many medical transcription training institutes as well as MT companies are hiding some facts about the future of medical transcription and they are continuing to train more and more people in the field of medical transcription. And some are even promising "MT work at home". These computer trainng institutes/companies are very busy training people in the field of medical transcription and want to earn as much as possible before there is complete decline in amount of medical transcription work. Some of these computer training institutes are also providing data entry work, legal transcription work and business transcription work. I went to a famous medical transcription company for a MT job. You will be surprised to know that I was the only person transcribing a audio file. The medical transcription company was almost empty.

    Remember if the amount of medical transcription work is declining then all companies (big and small) will find it difficult to earn and this will affect medical transcriptionist also.

    I think speaking truth may help others.
